[Bug 210863] [NEW] copy and move icon do not follow gtk icon theme

2008-04-02 Thread aaron andersen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -
About Ubuntu.
Description:Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release:8.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename'
or by checking in Synaptic.
2.22.0-0ubuntu2

3) What you expected to happen
When I click the Folder menu I expect the Copy Folder To... and Move
Folder To... icons to reflect the current gtk icon theme I am using. Also,
when I right click on any folder I expect the Copy... and Move... icons to
reflect the current gtk theme I am using as well.

4) What happened instead
Instead of displaying the correct icons evolution is using the gnome icon theme
instead. It appears those icon paths are hardcoded instead of using the current
gtk theme icon equivalents.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)

[Bug 207825] [NEW] liferea crashes when i open it

2008-03-27 Thread aaron andersen
Public bug reported:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System -

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by
checking in Synaptic.
liferea 1.4.14-0ubuntu1

3) What happened and what you expected to happen.
i typed liferea into a terminal and it flashed open for a fraction of a
second, then crashed shut and spewed the following output
libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error.
  (org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown) The name
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files
Segmentation fault
i expected the program not to crash

note that i don't have network manager installed... i use wicd instead.

[Bug 202295] Re: places menu uses the wrong icon for bookmarks

2008-03-15 Thread aaron andersen
Any icon theme I use has the same result. I typically use Tango icon
theme, but when I switched to Tangerine, Human, or GNOME icon themes,
the Bookmarks icon did not change for any of them.

[Bug 198633] [NEW] sun-java6-plugin depends on firefox but shouldn't

2008-03-04 Thread aaron andersen
Public bug reported:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System -
About Ubuntu.
cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu hardy (development branch)

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by
checking in Synaptic.
sun-java6-plugin 6-04-2

3) What happened and what you expected to happen.
i already have epiphany-gecko web browser installed, then i install
sun-java6-plugin and i expect it to NOT require firefox because i already have
a web browser installed. what actually happens is that synaptic forces me to
install firefox even though i have epiphany installed.

i filed bug 191586 which is very similar to this... i should have caught
this bug when i filed it, but i didn't catch it until now (now that
191586 is fixed i noticed)... i'm not sure what exactly sun-java6-plugin
should be depending on? i'm pretty sure it doesn't actually require
firefox, but then again it's a binary package and we don't have the
source for it. whoever solved 191586 would probably know though.

thanks

[Bug 192684] [NEW] metacity color doesn't change (after you change the gtk2 engine) until you logout and log back in

gnome-settings-daemon 2.21.91-0ubuntu2

3) What happened and what you expected to happen.
whenever i change my gtk2 theme engine the metacity window manager colour does
not change even though it is supposed to. if i logout and the login again it is
the correct colour.

this seems like a pretty hard thing to miss... so i'm wondering why no
one else has reported it yet... can anyone else reproduce this?

[Bug 191586] [NEW] eclipse-platform unnecessarily requires firefox

2008-02-13 Thread aaron andersen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eclipse-platform

The epiphany-gecko package does NOT depend on firefox (whereas epiphany
prior to hardy always required firefox to install).

In Gutsy eclipse-platform added firefox as a dependency

eclipse (3.2.2-3ubuntu1) gutsy; urgency=low

  * In debian/control and debian/rules change from xulrunner to firefox
  * Set distribution name to Ubuntu in debian/rules
  * Change maintainer to MOTU in debian/control.in and debian/control

 -- Scott Kitterman [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat, 08 Sep 2007 15:14:26

Since epiphany no longer necessarily depends on firefox I think that
firefox should be removed as a dependency. I want to install eclipse,
but I don't want to install firefox (I prefer epiphany-gecko).

[Bug 191628] [NEW] monodevelop crashes with c++ project

2008-02-13 Thread aaron andersen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: monodevelop

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System -
About Ubuntu.
cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu hardy (development branch)

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by
checking in Synaptic.
monodevelop 0.18.1+dfsg-1ubuntu2

3) What happened and what you expected to happen.
I created a new c++ project in mono and it crashed once it finished creating it.
I expected it to not crash.

Running monodevelop in a terminal informed me that exuberant-ctags was not
installed. I installed this and everything worked fine.
Please add exuberant-ctags as a dependency to monodevelop (now that monodevelop
supports c/c++)

Thank you
