[Bug 1404955] Re: unable to stop xbmc
It seems like XBMC is not fully exiting when you try to quit, preventing you from logging in again until you reboot. Try these steps to troubleshoot: Check XBMC configuration for session management settings. Ensure user permissions are set correctly. Consider updating XBMC to the latest version. Check XBMC logs for errors. Try alternative exit methods like keyboard shortcuts. Manually kill XBMC processes if necessary. Reboot as a last resort. Seek support from XBMC community or forums if needed. https://welpix.ae/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1404955 Title: unable to stop xbmc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xbmc/+bug/1404955/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1971168]
In the fresh VM, I just installed Chrome (google-chrome) from binaries, and it too uses the troublesome file picker, and has the same issues ("sees" network shares files but does not read them; resizes poorly; window enlarges by 244px both H & V every time it's invoked). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1971168 Title: [snap] Files on local network shares are not opened / written To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1971168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1971168]
Created attachment 9276134 File pickers comparison 2 In "File pickers comparison 2", I show that the two file pickers (ff run from linux binaries vs the snap package) sort files in a different order, have different options at the bottom, and the bottom window corners are either square or rounded. The snap's file picker resizes poorly here, as well. I ran the ff linux binaries version using the suggestion from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1768500#c5 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1971168 Title: [snap] Files on local network shares are not opened / written To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1971168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1971168]
Created attachment 9276133 File pickers comparison 1 I've spun up a fresh 22.04 install in a VM, then run the snap version of ff 100 (on the right) and ff 100 from linux binaries (on the left). The file picker is different between the two versions; the binaries version shows fewer network share aliases, and this binaries version can successfully read and write to network shares. The snap version's file picker shows aliases for network shares (and a printer) and will navigate into those folders and show files, but when a file is chosen to open, ff does not read the file and does not display an error.

I just upgraded Ubuntu from 21.10 to 22.04, and now Chrome (deb), Thunderbird (snap), and FireFox (snap) will not open nor save to any network drives (a home Ubuntu server); all of these apps read/saved to the same server before the upgrade this afternoon. [Bug 1967469] [NEW] kubuntu-driver-manager crashes on wayland session (with hacked solution)
Public bug reported: The bug is very easy to reproduce, and it is happening on the just released kubuntu 22.04 LTS beta. It probably happens on older versions too, but i didn't check them. Just install the "plasma-workspace-wayland" package with apt, logout and switch to wayland. Then run "kubuntu-driver-manager" with the terminal or clicking "Driver Manager" in the settings. It errors out saying: "qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display :0". Result: grub2 is installed and runs after reboot, but errors out before it can load the kernel as it has not been baked with support for the filesystem in question. Tested against an xfs root partition on both physical and virtual hardware. + + Somewhat like #185878, only affecting UEFI instead of MBR installations. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1758447 Title: grub2 missing support for non-extfs under uefi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1758447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1682988] [NEW] Trying to install Lubuntu 16.0 on eeePC 701 - crashed and took existing OS with it
Public bug reported: I attempted to install Lubuntu 16.0 onto my eeePC 701, (4Gb RAM, 4Gb SSD) at the point where I was expecting to be able to select my instalation options I suddenly got a message that (a) I had insuficient space for my selection, even though I had not actually made a selection, and (b) a report was going to be sent to the developers. I selected CANCEL and quit the install, tried to reboot and that's when my O/S (Lubuntu 14) had been trashed. [Bug 1634572] Re: APCUPSD does not send killpower command to UPS (only happens on Ubuntu 16.04)
I have been fighting this problem for quite a while. It is gratifying that others also have the same problem. I have tried using several linux releases, including Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, and Mint. All have the same problem, ie, the UPS will not power down after the system is shut down. My experience is that killpower is not shutting down the UPS. I have had the problem with an APC back-ups 350 with a USB cable, an APC smartups 1400 with a serial interface to a USB port, and an APC smartups 620 with the same serial inteface to a usb port. Apcuspd v3.14.14.0, V3.14.12.0, and all of these with Fedora 25, Mint Mate 18.0, The latest release of Raspbian on a Raspberry PI, and Ubuntu mate on a Raspberry PI. The system shuts down as expected, but I cannot get the UPS to shutdown after the system shutdown. HELP!!! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1634572 Title: APCUPSD does not send killpower command to UPS (only happens on Ubuntu 16.04) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apcupsd/+bug/1634572/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
