[Bug 1313808] [NEW] More options required for 'Returning from blank screen'
Public bug reported: More options are needed for when the screen should be locked after blanking. At the moment the options are: 0 Seconds 30 Seconds 1 minute 2 minutes 3 minutes 5 minutes 10 minutes 30 minutes 1 hour Smaller numbers should be available such as 5 seconds and 10 seconds so that if a screen goes blank it can be woken straight away without entering a password. 30 seconds is too long and poses a security risk. Allowing the user to enter their own hours, minutes and seconds would be ideal but if it must be a drop down list then 5 and 10 seconds should be added. ** Affects: activity-log-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313808 Title: More options required for 'Returning from blank screen' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/activity-log-manager/+bug/1313808/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The fix: Quote Dave Murphy: After upgrading to Hardy I noticed that my numeric keypad was no longer working. Not a huge inconvenience, but when you’ve got one you like to be able to use it don’t you? This morning - after trying to use it again - I decided to have another go at fixing it. A quick Google provided me with the solution: 1. Go into the Keyboard Preferences (System Preferences Keyboard) 2. Switch to the Mouse Keys tab 3. [Bug 69082] Re: Screen goes blank regardless
Well it's not the screen saver as I have un-installed that. The power management is set to never for both display and computer. So it's either another problem or the power management is not working properly. -- Screen goes blank regardless https://launchpad.net/bugs/69082 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
