[Bug 1021375] Re: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not

2014-01-07 Thread d0m
I to have the same problem!
I have tried 2 diferent USB sticks nothing can be saved to them. Either by
drag drop or saving from a text editor (JuffEd Gedit) or even OpenOfice.
One of the USB sticks did let me moove a file when I firs got it but it stoped
after I plged it into my Android.
I can open the USB sticks in Windows! chaing the permissions.
But I am completly locked out with Ubuntu.
Is pluging the USB sticks into other OS's leaving a cooky that Ubuntu is
objecting to?
Have fun.
d0m.

2011-12-28 Thread d0m
Hi
Hope you had a Merry Christmas.
I have found where I went wrong. I had downloaded the film direct tried to
get Movie Player  to play it. You have to do it through iPlayer so that all the
controls are loaded with it (parental. time limit, IP address).
Have fun.

My understanding is that the BBC encrypts their iplayer content. (I
don't know for sure as BBC blocks anyone that doesn't have a UK IP
address.) I suggest that you contact the BBC if you feel they should be
providing their content unencrypted for free.

I am closing this bug since this isn't a Ubuntu problem.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS FireFox. If I go to the BBC I can watch programs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Thanks!
For some reason your /etc/apt/sources.list{.d/} weren't attached, but it seems
that problem is there. Can you please open Software Sources, disable everything
under Other Software tab (see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu#Removing_.26_Disabling_Repositories),
and then try to upgrade again?

the picture over laps the text.
Im using Ff on Ubuntu 64 bit.
Thanks

[Bug 13861] Re: text hyperlinks overlap with normal text

2009-01-09 Thread d0m
Hi
Not-only-but-also! Its not only hyper text links, but also; [a] text overlaps,
[b] 'Flash' units stuck over text.
I'm using Ubuntu 64bit with Firefox Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB;
rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081216 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.19.
Thanks
d0m.
