I'm seeing the same issue. I have a k/b and mouse switch, switching
inputs causes it to crash as well. The USB switch has 3 devices hooked
in: 1. KB 2. Mouse 3. Logitech G430 headset.

I have a Google CR-48 and am running natty, I believe this has the same
Gobi2000 modem installed. The card doesn't work for me, I checked the
version number and it matches the one on launchpad. I also do not have
any ttyUSB* devs listed either. Thank you.

modemmanager prevents Gobi 2000 firmware
This bug is still present for me, using 5.4.0.42111-3~ppa5~lucid and I
also have problems with the following services never running at boot and
I have to start them manually (I added /etc/init.d/service_name start
in rc.local and this fails too, so I have to start the services manually

I would agree with you Pete, I work at Arizona State University and
there is a ton of Cisco stuff setup, so I think you are onto something.

I also setup an Ubuntu 9.10 server at my PT job and am having the same
exact problem, and we are running some Cisco stuff and Dell Powerconnect
3024's. I am using Server 2003 Enterprise and its' DHCP server.

My simple command line to restart 'lsassd' (/usr/bin/service lsassd
restart ) no longer works in /etc/rc.local, not sure if a bunch of
upstart stuff has been implemented in this release, that could cause
that.

Before I came upon this bug thread, I was able to get it to work
correctly by creating a vfat partition and then manually formatting it.
Once this was done, the usb-creator worked correctly. It is a problem
with the formatting portion.

Mackbook Pro v 1.1, closed the lid to test sleep mode and then re-opened
the lid about 30 seconds later, then this error came up. Thanks. The
stated that the problem was in the kernel and I need to restart to
