[Bug 134013] remote desktop bad remote screen visualization
Public bug reported: Today i connect a Gutsy remote pc with krdc and i get good as usual remote screen visualization and i do a full upgrade of remote pc and i restart the remote Ubuntu pc and after that i get a very bad screen visualization connecting to it with krdc. Remote desktop (with krdc and with Client for terminal server) show a very bad screen, the repaint of the screen seems not work good. See the attached image. Please ask me for other debug info. Trying to send a file using the mouse right click contextual sendto function. - If i choose to send file using Evolution all goes fine. - if i try to send with Thunderbird when the message is ready to send i get a warning windows that tell me to check the permission of ( please note the / before file:///) : /file:///tmp/nautilus-sendto-danilo/1187514272/bookmarks.html.zip I change all permission of the path give them 777 but if i retry i still get warning message and send fails! Remove the file if the repository is no longer interesting and the packages pulled from it are to be removed. I remove it: sudo rm /var/cache/apt-cacher/temp/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_gusty-updates_main_binary-i386_Packages.gz I rerun clean obsolete packages from apt-cacher cache but i always i get this error. I reinstalled Ubuntu Feisty from setup cd. I update it i rebooted and all was fine. I try to upgrade Gutsy from command line with sudo update-manager -c -d and i get this error warning: could not initiate dbus could not send the dbus Inhibit signal: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. No upgrade was made. I reboot the pc and i see again the /dev/null permission error at startup.
