[Bug 1348890] Re: Asus UX32LN: Brightness keys Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 don't generate evdev event
I have been casually following this thread for some time and tried the drm-intel-next kernel fix on my ASUS F555L. While it fixed my Airplane Mode (it was on permanently) and all other functions seem to be working, alas the two brightness functions f5 and f6 still don't work. Pity. [Bug 784985] Re: ACER Easyport IV problems with Meerkat and Natty
Sorry, h0nig, but no. I don't expect anything to happen to resolve this because, as I said previously, it doesn't rate high in the bug priorities list. 10.10 and 11.04 have huge video problems with Nvidia cards (I'm one of those affected) and hundreds have posted but, as yet, no solution. So I don't hold out much hope of a speedy resolution of this problem. I will add that the problems I'm having with Ubuntu are turning me off quickly, but I cannot bring myself to revert to Windows 7 as my main OS. Well, not yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/784985 Title: ACER Easyport IV problems with Meerkat and Natty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/784985/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 784985] [NEW] ACER Easyport IV problems with Meerkat and Natty
Public bug reported: I have an ACER 8572G dual-booting Windows 7 Pro 64 bits and Ubuntu 10.10 64 bits (and now tirple-boot with Natty). Ubuntu worked reasonably well (after a bit of fiddling) until I added an ACER Easyport IV. Win 7 performs perfectly with it, but when running Ubuntu the Ethernet and VGA ports don't work. The sound and USB ports are ok. I updated the BIOS to V1.20 and disabled the firewall, all to no avail. The problem definitely lies with Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04. I installed openSUSE 11.3 64 bits (triple-boot) and the ACER Easyport IV works perfectly with it. Only Meerkat and Natty are recalcitrant. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/784985 Title: ACER Easyport IV problems with Meerkat and Natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
