[Bug 1871794] Re: [Bluetooth] No audio output/input in HSP/HFP mode
Hi all, throwing in my experience: Sony WH-H910N, ThinkPad P1 Gen 2, Bus 001 Device 007: ID 8087:0029 Intel Corp. Worked under 18.04 When upgraded to 20.04 rcX (before it was released), still kept working. Not much later - already on released 20.04 - with a fw/kernel/whatever upgrade it stopped working in HSP/HFP mode. Since there were errors in dmesg related to the FW loading, I downloaded upstream FW from git, put them under /lib/firmware, and added a dpkg-diversion for the package provided versions, so that it survives an upgrade: dpkg-divert --list | grep ibt local diversion of /lib/firmware/intel/ibt-20-1-3.sfi to /lib/firmware/intel/ibt-20-1-3.sfi.dist local diversion of /lib/firmware/intel/ibt-20-1-3.ddc to /lib/firmware/intel/ibt-20-1-3.ddc.dist Headphones Sony WH-H910N do work out of the box on a different system with the same distro - with BT HW 8087:0a2a. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871794 Title: [Bluetooth] No audio output/input in HSP/HFP mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1871794/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1429768] [NEW] Large fonts not shown if antialiasing is off
Public bug reported: I am using Xubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, 64 bit Software-center: 13.10-0ubuntu4.1 LibreOffice Writer: 4.4.0.3-3 Problem: -- If antialiasing is turned off some large fonts are not shown. This is present in software-center, but also in libre writer. Description: -- I prefer fonts with no antialiasing (headache otherwise). If I turn it off in Appearances, everything seems fine (see software center 1.png), except that antialiasing IS used on large fonts. I need to have a fonts.conf file in ~/.config/fontconfig folder so that Firefox and Thunderbird turns off antialiasing too. If this file is present (software center 2.png) some of the letters disappear. The same can be achieved with libre writer by zooming in. No problem until a certain percent (~160%) then some letters disappear, and OK again from ~440%. This problem was present in every version on writer that I have ever used. I tried infinality, but could not turn off antialiasing if it was installed. [Bug 1054708] [NEW] Unmaximized windows snap to bottom when dragged offscreen
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Drag an unmaximized window partially off the bottom of the screen. 2. Mouse over the Window List applet. Expected behavior: Nothing should happen. Actual behavior: The window snaps up to the bottom of the screen. Furthermore: 3. Drag the window such that it is entirely within the screen. 4. Mouse over the Window List applet again. [Bug 221684] Re: Support for the EFS subsystem of NTFS
I would like this feature! You need to do a couple of things to access NTFS EFS encrypted files: Save NTFS EFS key (from windows) Run this command (or see the links provided below or use Google): cipher /x efsbackup.pfx Access NTFS EFS encrypted files under Linux you can try this: ntfsdecrypt [options] -k efsbackup.pfx device [file] (I couldn't make it work :( Failed to open encrypted file. Aborting.) But I need something that decrypts files on the fly just like windows. It would be nice if I could for example specify the pfx certificate file as a mount option for ntfs-3g, and it would do the rest. Under Windows you just have to import the saved certificate. --- Just FYI: you are an idiot :) Please read up before you start posting BS... You can have 2 windows, you just have to export and import the EFS certificate (with private keys). (Otherwise you cannot even have 2 account that accesses the same encrypted files.) There is also a Recovery Agent option... You have an added risk of data loss due to encryption (loss off encryption key, forgetting password), You have to decide if it's too much. But you should always back up data no matter if it's encrypted or not... You don't have to scan any registry, just have the EFS key exported. Sure and the FBI is scanning your brainwaves right now... --- Some info about NTFS, EFS, FEK, certificates... [Bug 969422] Re: cannot save connection without specifying a gateway
I accept this decision but I completely disagree with it. Forbidding me entering a totally valid configuration for whatever reason but forcing me to enter an invalid one absolutely does not sound right to me. Analyzing the use case also does not tell me this is a right solution. Those without strong knowledge of networking will most probably ask someone else what data to enter (how the heck could they figure it out themselves), so most probably they will be told the gateway address as well. So what this feature is protecting them is that when they enter the addresses they were told they simply forget one of them. I find it very unlikely. Also they could do a lot other mistakes there - entering wrong numbers, swapping the ip and the gw addresses, etc. Also, what if they really do not have a gw address for that interface? There is absolutely no indication that that is the reason for the button to be disabled. It took me 10 minutes to figure it out. At least please enable the button and complain about the missing gw when it is pressed. I could also accept that the gw is required for the _first_ interface, but not for additional ones (like in my case). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/969422 Title: cannot save connection without specifying a gateway To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/969422/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 969823] [NEW] software center does not find packages
Public bug reported: To install nfs client support on my PC I typed nfs into the software- center's search bar. [Bug 969422] [NEW] cannot save connection without specifying a gateway
Public bug reported: I have a dedicated network adapter in my computer that is directly connected to my nas (no router/switch involved). Both have a dedicated IP address. When I want to set up the connection, it insists on specifying a gateway address. As the two are connected directly there is no gateway and it does not even makes sense.
