button that says I'm a new user, help me out! and a barely visible
link underneath that says I'm an advanced user, show me the goods.
This way, the default option would give new users the ooh shiny button,

not appear. I have not tried a fresh Ubuntu disc yet. However, I've

It still does this with XAA. I then installed the crack and it still did

indeed, i think hardy is confused and thinks that this machine is not a
toshiba. this may be why the brightness controls don't work anymore --
the hotkeys work and the brightness scripts are called, but the effects

yep, i just spent hours figuring this out. in the end, i just did a
clean install, then fixed my /etc/apt/preferences to say:
Package: libc6
Pin: version 2.7-5ubuntu2
Pin-Priority: 1001
And it's going to stay this way until libc6 is fixed :x

noticed it only now. The same DivX 5 video that played an hour ago
stopped working. The audio track works. Noatun also fails to play these
files now, but VLC is fine, because of its bundled codecs. I tried

Hmm... I am experiencing this problem on my Toshiba Satellite L25-S119,
running Kubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn). It had been working perfectly until
this afternoon, actually.
