[Bug 1286910] Re: Lock screen uses last active window's language instead of default keyboard language

2017-03-03 Thread katsiki
I have the same problem with 16.04.2 (64-bit). Neither workaround using
"Switch User" works for me. When I do try "Switch User" with the same
account, it momemtarily displays my desktop, but the account is still
locked.

[Bug 1370768] Re: [drm:i915_stolen_to_physical]

2014-09-18 Thread katsiki
Thank you for your response and helping to make Ubuntu better. This is
a new installation. VGA output to an external 1920x1200 display is
unusably slow (in comparison with 12.04), and so I wondered if the error
message was related to a problem with the i915 graphics subsystem. I
don't know what processes are borrowing the memory. I haven't yet
noticed any other symptoms, so for now, I consider the Importance of
this issue to be Low.

[Bug 68070] Re: Edgy: install to USB drive leaves system unbootable

2008-04-18 Thread katsiki
I'm a n00b to Ubuntu and ASUS EEE PC. I tried booting Hardy 8.04 Beta
CDROM to install Linux to an external WD 250 GB USB hard drive from a
brand new ASUS EEE 2GB Surf PC. When I boot the USB drive, I get the
grub boot menu, then the error, Error 15: File not found. At least on
Ubuntu 7.10, on this ASUS EEE, even though I disabled the primary
internal Flash Drive of the PC, it is still recognized by Ubuntu, so I
get the same error trying to install with that older version.
