[Bug 1577213] Re: qtcreator freezes and crashes all the time

2016-06-17 Thread koso
Experiencing the same. It freezes during auto-completion once boost header
files are included.
Backtrace from gdb (attached) shows there is huge recursion before segmentation
fault is detected.

Same here. I think problem is with access rights. Many of new staff
downloads needs to be extracted to /usr, but there is no kdesu dialog.
In my case, only downloads which are extracted to my profile are
working. Others are marked as installed, but downloaded archive is not
extracted ...

Example of not functional new stuff: dolphin servicemenu rootactions.

[Bug 628930] Re: Desktop effects not active by default

2010-09-04 Thread koso
I have this problems also with Intel 965GM (X3100). I can enable
effects manually, but they are hardly usable. Even when blur is
disabled, it is slow and it flickers when redrawing panel and whole
desktop (changing virtual desktop, present windows, desktop grid effects
are affected).

Btw. I have also problems with kwin configuration freezes mentioned in
blog. For example, when I try to disable blur effect, in moment I hit
apply, screen freezes but desktop works - cursor is animated, and i
can use krunner to blindly relog :p

[Bug 553994] Re: knetworkmanager says disabled, needs to reset networkmanager state

2010-07-18 Thread koso
Can confirm this problems. After start-up, networking is disabled. I can
enable it using plasmoid (in maverick) but it wont work (it wont show
any possible connections except saved connections). Restarting KDED
module will probably help, but I haven't tested it for a longer time.

How to reproduce:

1. suspend to ram
2. shut down computer (hold down shutdown button or disconnect all power
sources)

This is probably related to some iwl3945 problems reported upstream. In

[Bug 569879] Re: Non-admin user logout fails on Lucid

2010-04-30 Thread koso
I have probably the same problem. It happens almost everytime I try to
relog.

After first attempt to relog, desktop starts, but it is in some safe
mode, becase there are no composite effects, and I cannot enable them.

When I try to relog again, there is no kdm, only glib warning (on black
screen). Switching to console is not succesfull.

Strange is, that there is no problem after I I log in to virtual
console (before logout), also restarting kdm using service kdm stop
helps.

kdm.log shows: (EE) intel(0): Couldn't create pixmap for fbcon

[Bug 553443] [NEW] Positioning problems with Kopete tray menu

2010-04-01 Thread koso
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kopete

This bug is probably related to KStatusNotifierItem. Kopetes and also
Amarok tray menus has problems with positioning. This sometimes
drastically degrades user-friendliness.

[1] http://yfrog.com/6finitp
[2] http://yfrog.com/6boutofmonitorp
[3] http://yfrog.com/6boverridep

On picture [1] is initial position when opening tray menu. This happens only on
first opening of menu. Also with Amarok, probably all applications using the
same backend.
On [2] you can see that submenu is opened out of monitor - this also happens
only on first opening, but only until whole tray menu is closed.
On [3] you can see, that some of the submenus can completely override parent
menu. In this case, there is probably no way, ho to close submenu without
closing whole traymenu.

I had the same problem when I connected my USB mouse during boot process
(but before kdm started). Also strange is, that internal touchpad
worked, only usb mouse, and internal keyboard (notebook) were ignored

[Bug 479527] Re: Dolphin does not refresh current directory for new files.

2009-11-17 Thread koso
I can confirm it, this bug was intorduced few month ago probably with
some changes in .31 kernel ... it was reported here:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207361

It is probably the same problem related to some low level component, whis is
responsible for signaling file system changes.
Reproduction was very easy .. open some directory in dolphin and modify this
directory content using some other tool:

- download file to this folder
- use console command to modify content (cp, rm, mv, touch)

PS: sometimes it works, but mostly no .. I am now using Lucid with .32
kernel, and the problem stil presists.

[Bug 479527] Re: Dolphin does not refresh current directory for new files.

2009-11-17 Thread koso
I dont have enough time now, so I made only little experiment on lastest
Lucid:

1. test: I run dolphin using Krunner .. then I use bookmarks or address
bar and navigate to some testing directory. At this situation, i was
unable to reproduce any problem with refreshing. (using console to
create some file).

2. test: I have navigated to the testing directory using applet quick
access, which runs dolphin with some command line parameters .. and
now, I was able to 100% reproduce problem with refresh. After first
manual refresh, it seemed to be ok. Also when i had both dolphin windows
opened, they were synchonized correctly.

When I will have more time, I will tray to isolate more precissely this
problem.

[Bug 479527] Re: Dolphin does not refresh current directory for new files.

2009-11-17 Thread koso
So i read some bug reports about this problems, and it seems, that we
are mixing 2 bugs:

1. bug in dolphin with symlinks, which seems to by already fixed in kde 4.4
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213799

2. kernel bug in .31, where dolphin does not refresh folder views.
there is already functional fix, and probably will be included in next
kernel realese

2009-09-26 Thread koso
I experienced the same problem using dophin in last few weeks (using KK
32-bit). It has probably something to do with changes in 2.6.31 kernel.
I also found this bug report:
