[Bug 1972720] [NEW] Night light does not work on laptop screen when disconnecting from external screen
Public bug reported: When I turn on my laptop while it is connected to an external screen (my display settings are such that only the external screen is used while it is connected) and later disconnect it, Night Light does not work on the laptop screen (it did on the external screen). [Bug 1876741] Re: Lenovo X1 boot crash with HDMI cable attached and laptop lid closed
Hi Raoul, yes, your probably right it is not exactly the same. I overlooked in your initial post that the problem happened before grub and the title sounds so much like my problem. I think I assumed from here > if something is attached to thunderbolt, no way to see even grub, if nothing is attached (and LID is closed) then I see grub loading on the external monitor but I don't get GDM. that you also had a problem after grub that is not associated with the thunderbolt issue. Thanks for your suggestions, I quickly tried both of them. Uninstalling xserver-xorg-video-intel did not solve it, but if I boot without "quiet splash" I can get to the login screen and login normally even though the HDMI cable is attached. I first see some log lines from the booting process on the screen, as expected, but the page with the Lenovo logo and Spinner does not come up and I just get to the login screen. Sorry if I am posting to the wrong thread here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876741 Title: Lenovo X1 boot crash with HDMI cable attached and laptop lid closed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1876741/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1876741] Re: Lenovo X1 boot crash with HDMI cable attached and laptop lid closed
Hi, I think what I experience on my Thinkpad T460s might be the same bug. I do not have a dock but if I boot with an HDMI cable attached I get stuck after grub - at the screen with the Lenovo logo and a spinner. This only happens, if I choose "Single Display" in the displays setting, using only the external screen attached via HDMI (i.e. the thinkpad screen is off, even though the lid is not closed). If instead I use "Join Displays", where both screens are on, I can boot with the HDMI cable attached. The problem appeared after upgrading from 19.10. I only have built-in graphics (Intel Corporation Skylake GT2 [HD Graphics 520]).
[Bug 1870827]
Hello, Since I was unable to reproduce this issue in first place, I cannot confirm if it's indeed fixed or not. Tried to reproduce it using Firefox 67.0, 75.0, 76.0b4 and 73.0a1 (2020-01-01) on multiple Ubuntu 18.04 x64 machines with the STR found in this bug and within the duplicates, I’ve also used a Firefox 68.7.0esr build from Ubuntu Store. It worked fine on each attempt, Firefox worked as expected. I assume this might also be related to the older Chromium/Chrome versions that were available within that timeframe. The Chromium version that is installed on the machines I've used is 81.0.4044.122. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1870827 Title: Firefox hangs after simultaneously opening Chrome/Electron-based applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1870827/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1775944] [NEW] [SRU] hoteldruid 2.2.2 unusable with php 7.2
Public bug reported: [Impact] * Starting with php 7.1 variables initialized as empty strings are no more converted to array with a following assignment. Hoteldruid used many empty string initializations for arrays until version 2.2.2 (current version in Bionic), version 2.2.3 (already in Cosmic) fixes this. Many warnings about deprecated features in php 7.2 are also fixed with hoteldruid version 2.2.3. * Many of these errors make hoteldruid unusable and there could be potential data losses. For example only 3 wrong dates are displayed in date pickers, so it's not possible to insert prices or insert a reservation. Another example is when modifying language or graphic themes, all previous selections are lost and it falls back to default values. [Test Case] * Install hoteldruid in Bionic and open it in your browser (you can use the menu entry provided by the package), if needed make the login into hoteldruid. You'll land in hoteldruid main menu where you can see there is a form to check availability where only dates from "December 31, 1901" to "January 2, 1902" will be available, instead of all dates of 2018. The same happens in all other pages. [Regression Potential] * The chance of regression is low as there are no other packages that depend (or recommend or suggest) hoteldruid. Also the new upstream version is a point release consisting mostly of bugfixes. ** Affects: hoteldruid (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1775944 Title: [SRU] hoteldruid 2.2.2 unusable with php 7.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hoteldruid/+bug/1775944/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1313446] Re: window disappears on toggle shade
I am sorry, it's been a while I stopped the Compiz development. The branch above is buggy. I'll describe here what I've found so far and maybe someone from the community or Canonical who has more time than me fixes it. The problem comes from the Unity 7 decorations. There are 2 different problems to be solved: 1- the decoration window should not be unshaded/updated everytime that the window is unshaded we have to check if we received a toggle_shade signal first 2- after fixing 1, you will see that a rolled window's decoration still gets unshaded when the window receives the focus out event. This should be also fixed and then I believe it will work fine... ** Changed in: unity Assignee: Eleni Maria Stea (hikiko) => (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313446 Title: window disappears on toggle shade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1313446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1313446] Re: window disappears on toggle shade
You don't need to apply the patch manually. I am going to fix some remaining issues and put it in one of the next SRUs. Unfortunately we have some other priorities now and you might need to wait a few more weeks to see it on Xenial. When the fix is released we are going to update the bug status to "Fix released" and the subscribed users will be notified by email. Please, be patient, we are trying to do our best! :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313446 Title: window disappears on toggle shade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1313446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
