just wanted to report that under ubuntu 15.10 the subwoofer works as it should ie. it has low-pass filter and plays just the "basses" from any 'player' (using myself clementine / smplayer(mpv)) the quality of the bass i would say is comparable to that of a windows - cant tell for sure because
