I can confirm this one,
I am running a hardy amd64 uptodate (2.6.24-24-xen), it crashes every time the
nfs4 server goes away for some reason (network outage, server restart,...)
rebooting the client is mandatory to get it back in a working state

I get about the same error with akonadi from KDE in intrepid-backports :

I don't have anymore such a setup, I switched to a LDAP one since then,
I've seen other bugs in nscd/libc being fixed since then, it might be related

I have changed the computer, but can reproduce, here are the logs and
configuration files.
a workaround for now is to completely empty the xf86vtswitch() inside
Xorg source code and recompile. A bit extreme but works ;)

I am running 2 gutsy amd64 servers (xen/drbd) (exact same setup on both hosts)
snmpd was running on the hosts for about a month and today got them very high
in memory usage causing some problems in other services (network for example),
restarted both of them for now but there is definitely some
in hardy, amd64, if you wait long enough (5 minutes or so), it will finally
startup
there seems to be some font problem I guess (fonts look bad in the menus)
after startup, the application works fine though

the guest boots, but the console is not working
I can ssh to the guest though and it's up and working fine otherwise
might just be the init console which is broken somewhere

instead of creating a new init.d script, just add the commands in /etc/rc.local
much easier than adding new init.d and rc links there ;)

(local_recipient_maps = proxy:unix:passwd.byname $alias_maps)
sometimes (really really randomly), nscd does not find a user which is
correctly in /etc/{passwd,shadow} causing postfix to return
yet another bug from my LDAP setup (looking for services in LDAP while network
was down)
(shown by a gdb bt of 'dhclient eth0')
