[Bug 497162] Re: applesmc motion sensor and touchpad in xorg
I just tried to install 10.04 Alpha 2 and I cannot install it because of this bug. I have no propper control over my mouse, because with my MacBook Pro 4,1 the DVD is spinning and causes vibrations that are detected by the sensor and it repositioned it back to the center of the screen. I could only complete the installation by keyboard. Plugging an USB mouse into the laptop didn't improve the situation. ** Attachment added: Video of the bug during Lucid install http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38237276/VIDEO0001.mp4 -- applesmc motion sensor and touchpad in xorg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497162 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 423625] Re: Karmic alpha 4 hangs at boot before GRUB with characters sequence
Original partition which caused the crash (in correct order on HD) - sda-1 free space (600KB or so) - sda1 EFI - sda2 OSX - sda4 swap - sda5 EXT4 Ubuntu - sda-1 free space (400KB or so) - sda3 FAT32 - sda-1 free space (600KB) But after reorganizing (Reinstalled Ubuntu partitioned with GParted) the partitions it worked: - sda-1 free space (600KB or so) - sda1 EFI - sda2 OSX - sda3 EXT4 Ubuntu - sda4 swap - sda5 FAT32 - sda-1 free space (600KB) Now GRUB starts without a problem and Ubuntu runs. [Bug 144867] Re: [gutsy] Total hang on using rt2x00
Just did an apt-get install of ndiswrapper sudo apt-get install ndisgtk ndiswrapper-common ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 Then added ndiswrapper to /etc/modules, because else ndiswrapper doenst get loaded during startup and then you have to sudo iwlist wlan0 scan every login. ndiswrapper -v utils version: 1.9 driver filename: /lib/modules/2.6.22-12-generic/ubuntu/misc/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko version:1.45 vermagic: 2.6.22-12-generic SMP mod_unload 586 Attachment are the windows config files for 32 and 64 bit Just start up the ndisgtk and select the correct ini for your system. Mathew your card should work with this windows driver. [Bug 144867] Re: [gutsy] Total hang on using rt2x00
Dont know if someone is looking for a work around for this problem but the ndiswrapper with windows drivers is working great in 32 and 64 bit Ubuntu So just remove the rt2x00 and rt2500 and use them. -- [gutsy] Total hang on using rt2x00 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144867 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
