Hi Andreas.
Thanks for putting together this PPA.
I would like to suggest you to use Launchpad's upstream source code import to
ease and automate your builds. There is one at lp:crunch. This way, you will
not need to update manually yourself when upstream changes.
Using some packaging recipe
It also builds OK for Precise:
https://code.launchpad.net/~pataquets/+recipe/gitso-trusty
Backport candidate for Precise?
I'm having problems when running backportpackage. My local building env is
broken :(

I can confirm that Sergey's PPA packages had been working wonderfully since
several weeks in my systems. Thank you very much, Sergey.
Sergey's configurations work unobtrusively and flawlessly. Just manually switch
to 127.0.0.2 from NetworkManager applet or config it via /etc/resolvconf.d/head

An alternative (and more generic) approach would be doing this by intercepting
.conf file reads (via FUSE?). After thinking a little about this and googling,
I've found something that might be a good start:

Finally managed to create my first merge proposal. Sorry for the comment noise.
Merged against precise first because it is my testing environment. Not sure
about which .desktop file to modify, still not familiar enough with packaging.
Should I also modify debian one?

Hi, Joel.
I'm also trying to figure how to package on launchpad. I wonder if the mainline
bzr branch is linked/imported from the source SVN as this explains:
https://help.launchpad.net/Code/Imports
I've also found a bit outdated (2.9) crunch debian packaging here:
Public bug reported:
Please, add Lucid build (backport or ppa). Since it's an LTS, it will stay for
a while.
My home testing/translating system it's a little old :)
TIA.
