[Bug 1947553] Re: wrong panel size 21.10

2021-11-04 Thread sles
Hello!
Thank you!
Unfortunately my work desktop is out of my reach for next several days, so I
will be able to do test only at Monday :-(
Minin and Pozharsky and, definitely, Poland's intervention are still delaying
us ;-)

Dmitry, thank you.
I just tried different applet, namely brightness, and have the same result-
moving it to the right results in too wide panel.
So this is not applet problem.
btw, I don't like contrast screen :-)

2021-10-19 Thread sles
OK, problem is caused by applet with disk drives, once I removed it everything
became good.
So, looks like this is applet problem. btw, I don't remember it's name :-D , so
I can't restore it, will look at home desktop later.

Anyway, I think this is not bug of panel.
Thank you!

[Bug 1848659] [NEW] 19.10 nfs

Public bug reported:

Hello!

Trying to install Ubuntu 19.10 from pxe the same way as 19.04:

connections.mount systemd.mask=sys-kernel-config.mount systemd.mask=sys-
kernel-debug.mount systemd.mask=tmp.mount --

But nfs client says it can't contact nfs 192.168.22.101, i.e. there is
no network.

Bug or we need to add new parameter?

Hello!

Installed erlang-p1-tls_1.0.20-1ubuntu0.1_amd64.deb from ppa you
mentioned.

Now I can connect my psi to my ejabberd.

Thank you!

It's early morning here, I need to wait when most users will try to use
ejabberd.
I'll report in next several hours.

[Bug 1832933] [NEW] upgrade to libssl1.1 1.1.1-1ubuntu2.1~18.04.2 breaks ejabbrd

2019-06-15 Thread sles
Public bug reported:

Hello!

After upgrade to

libssl1.1 1.1.1-1ubuntu2.1~18.04.2
openssl 1.1.1-1ubuntu2.1~18.04.2

on Ubuntu 18.04 server clients can't connect to ejabberd server:

2019-06-15 15:56:26.431 [warning]
<0.858.0>@ejabberd_c2s:process_terminated:290 (tls|<0.858.0>) Failed to
secure c2s connection: TLS failed: client renegotiations forbidden

ejabberd   version is18.01-2

which is from Ubuntu 18.04.

As far as I know ejabberd can work with openssl 1.1.1 only from 18.09
https://blog.process-one.net/ejabberd-18-09/

OpenSSL 1.1.1 support

Either ejabberd in 18.04 should be updated or openssl should not be
upgraded to 1.1.1 on 18.04 .

Thank you!

[Bug 1821566] Re: cron ignores whole crontab if one line has error

2019-03-25 Thread sles
Well, this design is wrong then, because I'm talking about /etc/crontab ,not
about /etc/cron.d directory. System crontab ( /etc/crontab ) is protected by
access rights, so it can't be changed by malicious user.
And any error causes cron almost stop working, because in my case
/etc/crontab contains all jobs. So , if malicious user has access to it he can
stop cron from working, and, thus, stop mailing access reports to me, this is
security hole :-)

I.e. this is not implementation bug, but design bug.

I have the same problem with download.
I can download using scripts from 3.1, but resulting rules does not work with

Rule can't be created, but it passes all traffic, no matter which country it is
from.
iptables -I INPUT  -m geoip ! --src-cc RU -j DROP
allows traffic from Japan...
although module built and running on Centos 7 works...

Hello!

I run ubuntu 16.04 server with amavisd-new.
Today I found that amavisd-new can't check attachments using rar or
unrar-nonfree.

If file has only latin characters then message arrives UNCHECKED,
if it has cyrillic in utf-8 then rar or unrar exits with exit code and message
passes without any warnings.
unrar-free works, but it doesn't support current formats...

Could you, please, fix this?

[Bug 1723907] Re: 16.04 server can't reboot

2017-10-17 Thread sles
Hello!

I don't see any specific in my setup, it is just Centos 7.
VMs are created from virt-manager.
Btw, other VM, namely Oracle Linux, which uses systemd too, can be rebooted
without problems.
And yes, reboot works after 2-3 days uptime.
And I don't think this is VM related, I just mentioned this to make sure it is
not hardware related.

Thank you!

Hello!

I run 5 (five) Ubuntu 16.04 VMs on Centos7 host, i.e. inside of kvm.
After several months of uptime I can't shutdown or reboot any of this VMs-

[Bug 1704984] Re: delivery-notification FAILED: temporarily unable to send DSN

2017-07-18 Thread sles
As temporary workaround I changed

#my $IO = $self->open("r") || die "open body: $!";
my $IO = $self->open("r") || return error  "open body: $!";

at /usr/local/share/perl/5.22.1/MIME/Entity.pm line 1878

This results in message (not full , but) generation and no messages
stuck in queue..

[Bug 1188475] Re: ldap group doesn't work

2017-07-15 Thread sles
About comment 6- in my opinion this highly depends on your implementation and
policy.
I work for not so large company, I'd say small - just about 4200 employers-, so
our policy can be wrong - it says not show users their rights, i.e. intruder
needs to try ;-)
>From another point of view- ldap connection credentials are supplied in
>config, so application have to use them, not others.
Your point of view is right too- as I said this depends on your policy.

Hello!

I'm not Debian user, so I don't think this is good idea to open bug report for
product I don't use.
And I don't see any reasons why Ubuntu can't provide support for it's packages
and have to rely on Debian :-(

Anyway, fix will be in next release, so it will work out of box in 20.04
:-D

[Bug 1700231] Re: 16.04 , apparmor denies dbus communications even with flags=(complain)

2017-06-26 Thread sles
Well, may be this is not bug, but expected behaviour.

/etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.ejabberdctl

contains
/usr/sbin/ejabberdctl {

   profile su  {

...
 }
}

I.e. there is profile su inside.
If I add:

/usr/sbin/ejabberdctl flags=(complain) {

it doesn't changeprofile su behaviour.
I have to add
profile su   flags=(complain) {
then it works.

Problem here is that it breaks idea of scope, because profile su is _inside_,
but does not use flags from outside.
Thank you!

Looks like we need more fine grained version, but this works:

dbus(send)
 bus=system,

in   profile su {

btw, looks like there is bug in apparmor, because operation is denied even if
flags=(complain) is set.

Well, looks like problem is memory management, which can be related to video,
because intel uses system RAM.
During last freeze we logged-in to my colleague computer and seen khugepages
eating cpu-
there was no swap on this computer, so we added it and today there was no
freezes ,
4.10.0-20-generic ...

[Bug 1684010] Re: 17.04, i915 freeze on VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller

2017-05-05 Thread sles
4.10.0-17 should be OK too- my colleague tests all kernels- we run the same
hardware except video- I have nvidia card. I forgot to ask him about results,
but he didn't complain, so it should be fine.
Really, it looks very strange, because I don't see any video related changes
from 17 to 20 in changelog.
Anyway, next 4 days are holidays here, so we can test only after May 9.

btw, using kernel from 16.10 while using 17.04 userspace solves problem.
i.e. this is kernel bug.

[Bug 1676805] [NEW] 16.04, problem with cyrillic alerts from amavis

2017-03-28 Thread sles
Public bug reported:

Hello!

In 12.04 everything works just fine.
I have ru_RU templates directory with charset file
with line UTF-8 in it.
In /etc/amavis/conf.d/30-template_localization
I have
$hdr_encoding = 'utf-8';
$bdy_encoding = 'utf-8';

I this case encoding of message is set to utf-8 ,
but message is broken, i.e. it is not in utf-8.

if I set
$bdy_encoding = 'iso-8859-1';
then there is utf-8 readable message, but just wrong info about encoding in it.

Everything like described here in last message:

http://serverdoma.ru/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1027

I.e. amavis shipped with 16.04 is broken...

Thank you!

[Bug 1669254] [NEW] 16.04 apparmor, aa-logprof and log files

2017-03-01 Thread sles
Public bug reported:

First of all I'd like to say that by default

/etc/apparmor/logprof.conf

contains

 logfiles = /var/log/audit/audit.log /var/log/syslog /var/log/messages

from which only syslog exists in 16.04.

And there is kern.log , which seems to be better suited for reading
apparmor kernel messages.

Why not change this in distribution?
