I checked with HP/Compaq. The BIOS is the most current. It doesn't mean that the problem isn't in the bios, it could mean that it needs to be updated and hasn't been. It really only means that it takes away the option to update as a possible fix. For the record my BIOS version is F.08 -- boot-up
