[Bug 1736222] Re: speech-dispatcher distorts all sound
I started having issue's with sound being off as it were, I tried different browsers and headphones and was starting to think it was just me... then I notice in the sound settings - application tab that I had 5 speech-dispatchers going and upon doing a Google on them landed here. Upon using the command: killall speech-dispatcher My sound went back to normal, I never got these before what has change recently to cause this? (Specifically I had updates come through last week and since then I've had this crap) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1736222 Title: speech-dispatcher distorts all sound To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/speech-dispatcher/+bug/1736222/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1893021] Re: Flash plugin symbol lookup error with firefox 80.0+build2 on xenial (gtk_window_set_titlebar)
I've received no update thus far, so I tried a re-install and still have no flash in firefox. [Bug 1893139] Re: Firefox 80 blocks flash
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1893021 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1893021 Apparently its fixed now, I Googled some and found 2 things to try to get rid of it. 1. Shutdown my system completely and boot fresh in the hope that Ubuntu would clear the file itself... (which it did for me it seems luckily) or 2. Take my Ubuntu SSD to a Windows PC and delete the file. (Not quite sure how that works unless you use LinuxReader or some other program to see the ext4 filesystem because I'm pretty sure Windows doesn't see it) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1893139 Title: Firefox 80 blocks flash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1893139/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1893139] Re: Firefox 80 blocks flash
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1893021 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1893021 I decided to backup my bookmarks from Firefox 80 and discovered a new and interesting problem, I have now ended up with a file called bookmarks-2020-08-27.json.tmp that has both a lock and a cross on it that I cannot move, rename or delete as it does not exist but clearly does as I can see it. When I go into terminal it doesn't show up, when I try to use admin to delete it I cant either... [Bug 1893139] [NEW] Firefox 80 blocks flash
Public bug reported: Up until last night I was using Firefox 79.0 on Ubuntu 16.04, I got an update to Firefox 80, now I can no longer play games on Kongregate as it seems all flash is blocked. I can still play Kongregate games in Chrome, but as Firefox is my main browser I wish to enable functionality in it once more or rollback to version 79, can anyone inform me how to go back to 79? I cannot even find my way to the repository for 79, only 80 is shown. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: firefox flash games kongregate ** Description changed: Up until last night I was using Firefox 79.0 on Ubuntu 16.04, I got an update to Firefox 80, now I can no longer play games on Kongregate as it seems all flash is blocked. [Bug 1835619] Re: opera.desktop reverts
I tried to do a package, but the bug report system would not accept it and stated it did not exist, indicated I should click the "I don't know" radio button but that would not accept either. [Bug 1835619] [NEW] opera.desktop reverts
Public bug reported: I have the program Opera installed on Ubuntu 16.04, when I start Opera the window is small and a pop-up comes up repeatedly asking for a password to "Unlock the Keyring". Upon adding --start-maximized --password-store=basic to the exec line of the opera.desktop file in the /usr/share/applications folder Opera functions correctly. One or two days later, the opera.desktop file reverts back to just opera %U on the exec line and the program is broken again. No matter how many times I change opera.desktop, it reverts back, even if I "edit as administrator" or login as root in terminal... it changes back.
