I can confirm this bug in both Hardy Heron and 8.10.

I can confirm this in ubuntu 8.04 and the ff3b5 package--didn't notice
it in RC1, but I hadn't used it extensively.

I am seeing this bug too, only seems to be on firefox, both on Thinkpad
r50e and on HP pavillion DV6500, thought I was just knocking the middle
scroll button to start. This happens about every 20 right clicks or so,
machine doesn't have to be under load, all latest updates installed on
8.04

Same for me. I find that if I press and hold the right mouse button, the
menu comes up fine, but if I give it a single click it sometimes comes
up OK, other times it performs a random task from the menu as noted
above.

Im having this bug too. It only seems to happen with firefox for me.
This is becoming quite bothersome as I will often right click a link so
I can open it in a new link.

It might not be an issue specific to Firefox, because it just happened
in Nautilus - I right-clicked on a file (to choose the 'open with'
option), and it just opened it straight away without showing the menu.
This is with xorg 1:7.3+10ubuntu7, xserver-xorg-input-kbd
1:1.2.2-3ubuntu1,
I have yet to experience this issue here but I rarely use the right-
click. I will try using it more intensely and report back.
