You made this bug report in 2007 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then. Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? I have also experienced the same problem: when using reply to or reply all the to and cc fields are left blank. This problem surfaced with the update of Thunderbird from v24.6.0 to v31.0. I believe that some plug-ins causes this situation to happen. When I disable all plug-ins before installing the new version of Thunderbird and enable them again after the update everything works fine. I had initially thought that Enigmail caused the problem since a configuration wizard shows up after the Thunderbird update and applies some configuration settings but Agostino does not have the Enigmail plug-in installed. In my case I am running everything in a virtual machine and so I can roll back to an earlier version and give it another try. I've just started seeing a similar bug on Gutsy - not sure if it's the same one. It only happens with e-mails from a certain person (who, as it happens, runs Thunderbird on Windows). If I hit Reply, I get my own address in the To box instead of hers. I have looked at the message headers and can't see anything obviously wrong. I've attached a sample of the headers from one of the problem messages. I cannot confirm this bug. I tried replying to several messages and the field was blank in none of the cases. What I did notice was that the field is not filled in until the new reply message has been fully rendered.
