guillaume le louet, regarding your comments
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1096853/comments/31 :
Well, I use this laptop for work purpose mainly, I don't think I could just
let it remain on disk image for two days, waiting for a bug to appear :/
Would you be able to test
I am using a PLC plug now, but the wifi is still activated and still
crashes sometimes.
I will do as you suggest, as long as it does not prevent me from
writting my thesis.

14e4:4353 Wi-Fi disconnects then cannot connect to any network --
still having issue with wifi disconnecting.
All I have in dmesg now is
ERROR @wl_notify_scan_status : eth1 Scan_results error (-22)
Where am I supposed to get more logs ? That's just weird. It fails and … no
information.
I can't even use a free driver, as none is present in the drivers list.
After a reinstall, I also need to install newer kernel to get a correct
wifi driver

bcmwl-kernel-source
from
ppa:eugenesan/ppa
fix procedure :
sudo add-apt-repository --yes ppa:eugenesan/ppa sudo apt-get update -qq
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -yy
been working like that for months, the wifi just crashed once instead
of times a day.

ok, actually nothing changes, sometimes the connection only hangs untill forced

I can't play any online game.
This is a total waste of time, nobody seems to have any clue about what
is wrong. I looked in arch forum, they at least try to solve
ok, I did modify grub to disable ipv6 and the bug persisted.
However, I made a kernel update (two days ago?) and now my wifi does not
disconnect :
uname -r
3.5.0-27-generic
However, sometimes the wifi stops working, and comes back after like 2min,
while no disconnect appears from
ok, didnt work with the ipv6 disabled in nm-manager, here is the dmesg.
as you can see I am also subject to a bug that seems to be related to
802.11n poorly supported. However I disabled 802.11n following a google
research :
cat /etc/modprobe.d/iwlagn.conf
options iwlagn 11n_disable=1
But,
happend several times again.
Google seach on wpa deauth reason 3 led me to
http://azitech.wordpress.com/2010/02/22/deauthenticating-reason3/
I'm trying to disable the IPV6 on the wifi connection in network-manager gui
Then if it does not work, i'll add the “ipv6.disable=1″ in the grub options.

hit me once more, adding another dmesg excerpt. The last lines, repeated
once in the excerpt, were repeated like a dozen times.

Well, actually the disconnect issue appeared at first only when I
suspended my laptop. This prevented me from using STR on my laptop.
Then, it stopped (About 2 months ago, I think but not sure). Then, it
reappeared with the disconnection also appearing whith no STR, so I
posted this bug.
I
also, the CPU usage on STR resume was %, here are attached the first
lines of my top.

I tried to STR with the latest kernel, and the laptop did not STR.
I remember those old days in 2006 when I was able to STR my old laptop
to use it for 5 min, w/o having to hard reboot it …

I know I had many issues with network on December, but not specifically
wifi (ethernet could not start if not plugged at boot time). Sorry I
don't take notes, last time I posted a bug I was told to use free
drivers .

@joseph : it happens from time to time. So I don't know when it did
start. Trying the mainline build.

I cannot test the mainline kernel, as the unity dashboard does not
