This problem still exists in latest Firefox (25.0), but I got a
workaround (NOT by disabling global-menu):
I invoked the Unity's HUD menu shortcut (by pressing the Alt key) at the
first time I opened Firefox, then typed something on it just so that the
HUD loads all Firefox menu. Then closed the

workaround requires disabling the Global Menu Bar Integration addon.
When the Global Menu Bar Integration addon is disabled, the HUD no
longer works properly!
