I still got the same problem with T41 after a fresh install of Ubuntu

This is the output from lspci.
I also got a weird problem with the CISCO AIRONET 350 wireless card.
Sometimes, it works; sometimes, it doesn't.

I am the original poster.
Today I could verify successfully that suspend-to-disk (hibernate) and
suspend-to-ram, both works fine again on my notebook!
Please note, I haven't been able to test the 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) pre-
releases yet, since this notebook is my production computer and I have

Encouraged by the OP's success, I just tried again on my laptop with
8.10 beta (see my previous posting for more details) after updating all
packages (apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade) and now it works for

Thanks!

Suspend-to-disk (hibernate) and suspend-to-ram do not work anymore
I'm not original poster either, but I also have the problem with non-
working suspend and hibernate with xubuntu 8.10 beta on my HP compaq
nc8430 laptop; when I choose either alternative from the 'quit' window
in xfce, the window disappears, but nothing else happens (as if I had
chosen 'cancel').
I'm not the original poster but I cannot hibernate or suspend my laptop with
kernel 2.6.27-1
I also have a nVidia card.

There are one of two ways you should be able to test:

I can confirm this. Only happens when the restricted NVIDIA driver is

I wonder if a lack of free hard disk space is a potential reason for the
observed phenomena (freezing with no error message)? Maybe the upgrade from
6.10 to 7.04 has consumed some disk space
Since the OP hasn't responded I'll attached the requested info since my
