I've got the exact same issue, Ubuntu 13.10 Cairo-dock OpenGL WM + Compiz Funny thing, if I grab the resize handle and resize it to let's say ~1920x1080 (full screen), it animates by shrinking back to its smallest size in a matter of 5 seconds. It does it vertically first, then horizontally,
