Christopher, there is no update for firmware for intel wireless 2230BGN in
latest trusty (still 18.168.6.1).
I'm currently run kernel 3.13.7, and microcode errors occurs rarely, about 1
event in 1-2 weeks.

3) Is linux-next the latest available kernel? As I said before, I've tried
lot of kernels, including latest releases from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/. I'll try 3.13-rc7.

latest from Ubuntu, but upstream as this is the one from them for your
chipset http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/iwlwifi .
Despite this, could you please fill in the missing information following
1. Custom-assembled desktop PC, so only motherboard model is relevant:
GA-H87N-WIFI
2. No (BIOS was upgraded from version F1 to F4)
3. My PC acts as AP, different wireless clients; tried both G and N mode - same
results.

actually test the requested change?
2) If your PC is connected to an AP, versus it is the AP, does this change
anything?
