As a workaround to this (at least on my X41) was using the hibnerate scripts. Changing the line in /etc/hibernate/hibernate.conf to first try ram.conf, than tell gnome-power-manager to use hibernate and it works. But i hope suspend-to-ram will work using the normal acpi soon again! -- Sleep and

The only other thing that I think I have to add to this is that when I resume from suspend or try and hibernate my suspend/hibernate activity light (which looks like a crescent moon) starts flashing and doesn't stop until I restart. I have filed a separate bug here which may or may not turn out
