Please choose the check disc option from the boot menu to verify the integrity of the installation image, as well as the memtest option and let it run for at least 15 minutes to see if your ram has errors. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1454907 Title: Fresh 14.10 install on TA970 motherboard with HD6450 graphics card To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1454907/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

But then I had an AMD-Vi IOAPIC error in dmesg, but that's another issue which seems to have already been reported. So I'm back to trying 14.04, but grub2 failed with a can't install to target error. I'm about to try a 14.04 reinstall so I'll test the media and RAM now. The tests should still be valid even though it's 14.04. If I can't get 14.04 to install I'll try 14.10 again with the same tests. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1454907 Title: Fresh 14.10 install on TA970 motherboard with HD6450 graphics card To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1454907/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
