I change this to New, because the issue is not yet fixed. I have this
problem still under Intrepid Ibex. I don't use any visuall effects. I

Sorry to take so long to reply.
I tried upgrading to 8.04, but that did not change the problem. I decided to

When I installed Ubuntu 8.04 with clean install I have not had the issue
reoccur.
Thank you for your time and efforts.

Went to /apps/gnomine and unclicked FullScreen and changed height and width
from 1680x1050 (which is full screen for me) to something smaller.
Can somebody reproduce this on a Hardy Heron installation? I'm still not
able to reproduce it, thanks.

It's happening to me right now. Don't know exactly how it started.
Aisleriot used to be able to flip between windowed/fullscreen mode OK,

Is that reproducible with another new user on the system? I still cannot

I have the same problem, I don't known how I reached the state where it
is impossible to leave the maximized state.
Could this be the path to the problem?
1) Maximize the program.
2) Play a game, then when it ask me if I want to play one more time out quit,

as soon as I upgraded to gutsy this has happened. Is there any way that I
can roll back to feisty and reapply gutsy, as there may have been some
setting that I didn't do correctly.
It opens in full screen mode, plays ok
