[Bug 1636827] Re: wireless network list disappears
Sorry I can't answer all the questions right now, as I'm in a bit of a rush and can't try out all the old versions of Ubuntu right now. And the bug doesn't manifest itself that often, so it's hard to pinpoint what exactly triggers it. For now I can confirm that I have experienced the bug on Thinkpad T520 too. As before, restarting the NetworkManager service fixes the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1636827 Title: wireless network list disappears To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1636827/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1636827] Re: wireless network list disappears
Juraj, for you personally (not someone else), was there a version of Ubuntu later than 14.04, but earlier than 16.04 where this didn't occur? ** Tags added: regression-release -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1636827 Title: wireless network list disappears To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1636827/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1636827] Re: wireless network list disappears
1) No, it definitely did not occur in 14.04. I believe it's a regression. 2) James Ferguson noted here (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1590985/comments/7) that he gets the bug after resuming from suspend. I will update later with more specifics, but I consistently get the bug when running Ubuntu for some time (an hour, couple of hours?), perhaps doing a suspend. I get the same behaviour like James that it's still connected, but network-manager doesn't display the active connection nor other connections. 3) Also will update later. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1636827 Title: wireless network list disappears To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1636827/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1636827] Re: wireless network list disappears
Juraj, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. To better understand: 1) Did this problem not occur in a Ubuntu release prior to 16.04? 2) When precisely does the wireless network list disappear (i.e. after doing what, is it consistently reproducible, etc.)? 3) Is this reproducible via http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ ? ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1636827 Title: wireless network list disappears To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1636827/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
