Does this bug go away if you boot back into the prior kernel version? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . I am not sure if my issue is related. When I tried to install this kernel, and booted into it, I also lost wifi.
