If you run lightdm-settings in terminal without slick-greeter installed
you can easily find the error.

On behalf of UB and UM, there is no real reason to sync now - nor need
to SRU for 19.10. The current version of lightdm-settings works just
fine.
I will be testing and when confirmed, sync'ing for the 20.04 dev cycle.
Lets treat this as BAU and will close this.

Hi, are you requesting this change for 19.10 or for 20.04 LTS?
For 19.10, it is too late for this change. At a minimum, the Debian
package would need to include a LP bug in its changelog for a sync to be
acceptable. We are now in Final Freeze and any uploads to seeded
packages need to be formatted
