I was able to complete the installation after ensuring they were not mounted. It appears the installer was able to delete the partitions, because when I rebooted, the drive I had selected had only the boot/efi partition (and maybe one other?) May 4 14:11:11 ubuntu ubiquity: Umount all file systems, and swapoff all swap partitions on this disk. May 4 14:11:11 ubuntu ubiquity: Use the --no-reread flag to suppress this check.
