I have a probably related problem. Namely, when running vinagre to connect to a kvm virtual machine, running Windows, the mouse seems to believe that the screen border is not where it should be. The consequence is that I sometimes cannot reach the Start button, because the mouse cursor cannot go below a certain row, or certain icons cannot be clicked. This problem seems to be solved by shaking quickly the mouse, that is, moving it very fast.
