I can confirm this too. I had the same problem when running 7.10. Yesterday I upgraded to Hardy beta and still have the issue. I just tried deleting ~/.cache/tracker this morning to see if rebuilding the index might help -- it did not. This is what I observe: $ tracker-search test no results $

I'd like to amend my last post. I think I tested the search tool *before* trackerd had actually finished rebuilding its index. Since it completed the process I haven't had any problems. Can anyone else confirm if deleting the index and waiting for it to be completely rebuilt fixes this problem?

I don't have #1 or #2, so then it'd have to be #3 of those, and I do use suspend/resume a lot too. I'm however quite sure that tracker can stop answering during a session with no suspend involved, at least that I've killed it, got it to work, and then a bit later it stopped again. The two bugs

I can confirm this on 7.10 w/latest. Might be a duplicate of bug #163544, where I originally posted. If not, I'm posting here, too :-) It was working fine, and then suddenly stopped returning any results whatsoever. Killall trackerd and restarting the process via terminal restored
