I can confirm this. Properly because of the disk activity, the CPU is going to 100%, until you close Firefox (takes also a while before it's actually closed). It just started yesterday, out of nothing. I tried everything to find the cause of it: I'm working in Kubuntu Hardy KDE 3.5.9. *Started

A few more things I tried: I uninstalled (purged) firefox--gnome-support and xulrunner-gnome-support I cleaned the cache, history and such Restarted X All had no results. Still at 100% CPU and a constant working hard disk. -- Firefox working on hard disk for 5 Minutes after start.
