I think this bug may be a duplicate of #220607. Looking at the comments
for 220607 it seems that this bug maybe fixed in kernels 2.6.25 and
higher. I have just installed Ubuntu 8.10 using kernel 2.6.26-4-generic
(Intrepid Alpha 3 release) and can confirm that this bug is not present

Can you please post the output of a clear 'lspci'? The 'Magic Numbers'
block gives a device number back on the last line of it:

Suspend fails after first time
Thank you for the bug report. However, it's not fully complete yet,
although you've already added most of the information. Can you please
attach the output of the command 'dmesg' after you've tried to resume.

After the first suspend and resume I have noticed that the lsusb command
hangs so maybe something in the usb subsystem hasn't survived the
suspend/resume cycle and that is what causes subsequent suspends to fail
? I've attached the output from lsusb -v after a clean reboot.

suspending/resuming after the following:
/etc/init.d/gdm stop
killall NetworkManager
rmmod iwl3945 iwlwifi_80211 fglrx
in an attempt to see if it
Just one more thing. This laptop suspends and resumes perfectly well
under Ubuntu 6.10 running with fglrx and ipw3945, so it can be done. I
skipped both 7.04 and 7.10 due to suspend/resume issues and was really
hoping that it would just work by now. Sadly not. If you need any
