Why is this issue still marked "Incomplete"? Would it be my task to
change its resolution after supplying the requested information?
Confirmed for Intrepid Beta, by the way.

Confirmed with 2.6.27-2. Still takes ages to shut down, and among the
last messages printed are many from network manager, some of them
warnings complaining about unavailable dbus, the last info something
like "Deactivating interface wlan" or similar.

Seems to be still present in in the linux kernel packages from Intrepid:
still takes ages to shut down.
I don't yet feel like doing a full upgrade, as this is a production
system which I need in functional state. Just trying to upgrade the
header has caused me quite a lot of trouble as it is, as I
Hi Martin,
You reported this bug a while ago and it hasn't had any recent activity.
Care to confirm this is still an issue with the latest Alpha for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 as it is actively being developed. More
information regarding the latest Alpha can be found at

Inspiron 8200, won't wake up from hibernation in any Linux setup I tried
so far. Might well be that it otherwise would exhibit the same behaviour
as Sławek described.

sleep, but the resume and shutdown takes ages. I think it is also
connected with the firmware problem. Nonetheless my card works
flawlessly even without this error.

Update: I now tried this out with an access point within reach. I could
connect to it all right, so this problem does not prevent the device
from functioning. If it was in use, shutdown will not have
NetworkManager still running, but instead wpa_supplicant and ip, the
