[Bug 242278] Re: Wired ethernet disconnected when WM6 device connected via USB after upgrade to kernel 2.6.24-19
Hi ubuntu-buttonguy, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux-image-`uname -r` 242278 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message. [Bug 242278] Re: Wired ethernet disconnected when WM6 device connected via USB after upgrade to kernel 2.6.24-19
I am using a fully updated ubuntu hardy with 2.6.24-19 and my default gateway is still being replaced or a second default gateway is added with the IP address for the ATT Tilt. Unplugging the device removes the default gateway. Fixed by adding this to /etc/network/interfaces: auto eth3 iface eth3 inet dhcp -- Wired ethernet disconnected when WM6 device connected via USB after upgrade to kernel 2.6.24-19 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 242278] Re: Wired ethernet disconnected when WM6 device connected via USB after upgrade to kernel 2.6.24-19
This has been resolved/addressed in Hardy 8.04.1 and Intrepid with the inclusion into 2.6.24-19 of an upstream kernel fix for rndis.
