I've got exactly the same problem with kubuntu edgy:
kde 3.5.5
qt 3.3.6
kernel 2.6.17-10-generic
konqueror crashes every time I start it. My wife is simultaneously
running another session (Switch User -> Start New Session) in which

It still happens sometimes but I can't get get the steps to reproduce
it. I'm reinstalling the hole system as soon as next upgrade comes.

I have very similar error with Edgy. KDE version is 3.5.5. I reboot my
computer, opened Firefox and open Konqueror after that.
When Konqueror crashed and caused signal 11 (SIGSEGV).
