I just found a workaround to this bug: xinput set-int-prop bttv IR (card=123) Device Enabled 32 0 releases the x.org lock of the device and then LIRC started to work... Can this be somehow set in xorg.conf as permanent setting? -- LIRC does not work in Intrepid (at least for dev/input)

I suspect that this problem has something to do with new x.org... I tried to do this: /etc/init.d/gdm stop ...login in console... cat /dev/input/by-path/pci-\:02\:0d.0--event-ir and there was some output when I press buttons on remote control... just like in Hardy, so I suspect
