Hmm. Different kernel from #371239 but I *think* this has been long-
since resolved. I'll have to give the suspend button a poke when I'm
next at the machine and confirm.

Yes, can't reproduce with 2.6.31-17-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 10
17:01:44 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux, Ubuntu 9.10 with all updates as of
2010-01-13 or so (roughly). With fglrx installed (8.66.10), no less.
Still no PCI/PCI-e cards, same USB peripherals:

As an afterthought - I suppose it's possible that fglrx could be
covering up if the initial problem involved the regular drm and open-
source driver... but having survived the suspends and resumes, I'm not
in the mood to kill my X session right now. Looks like a couple others
