I'm facing the same problem, xulrunner en 1.9.0.8 and Firefox en-gb 3.0.7
became incompatible with Firefox 3.5.3 on Karmic beta 32 bit just after
updating today.
None of my addons were disabled.

Ok. The problem is the reporter had 2 issues listed here:
1. Firefox prompting to restart constantly on the addons acreen
2. Old language packs are disabled

I do think it's the same bug. Try updating or installing any addon to
confirm.

OS: Ubuntu Desktop Edition 9.10 x64 Beta.
In my case, all (the default) Firefox add-ons, appear disabled, with the
message Not compatible with Firefox 3.5.3.
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Beta, with all updates installed.

I am talking about the default Language Add-ons. I have not tried other
Add-ons.

Now, after update, the add-ons are loaded, but the message Restart
Firefox to complete your changes persists on Add-ons window.
