well congratulations. upgraded to the latest ubuntu build of ff 3.5.6
and guess what? safari is broken again. what gives. really. why don't
you just leave building stuff to the people who write it and stop

and thanks for zero help and the load of crap worth of denials and other
roadblocks you have deigned to claim make this ticket incomplete. you
are full of it (or more likely yourself). if you ever pull your head out
and decide to fix this, then by all means let me know that you are
willing to work
I have the same problem with a fresh install of Karmic (32 bit) and
adobe-flash plugin.
No content appears on Safari. I tried all flash plugins from the adobe
developer archive. None of version 10 works, however FP 9 r 246 works
fine, but it mixes up css rendered popups with the flash content
please update the status of this ticket. i have supplied the requested
information.

the entire .mozilla folder and had it create a new one.
secondly, i have been in touch with safari techs who report that the
flash player has problems
also, i have reproduced this problem on three new installs of karmic on
2 64 bit amd machines and a 32 bit pentium. all behave the same way and
all now work because i removed the ubuntu ff mods and then created a new
profile. just creating a new profile with ubuntu ff mods enabled results

as an aside what benefit is there really to ff mods? installing out of
date packages that are more easily installed with the ff extensions? is
this really necessary?

this has nothing to do with firebug. please read more carefully. the
issue is that enabling ubuntu firefox modifications breaks some flash
based applications. to reproduce the problem follow these steps (which
now includes steps to discount your corrupt profile theory):
1) move existing profile
sorry, first paragraph should be:
when i installed a stock non-ubuntu firefox binary and linked it to the ubuntu
flash player (ie same player as ubuntu packaged firefox -
flashplayer-installer) all works fine. that made me think that there was a
problem with the ubuntu packaged firefox. i then
Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can
become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try
this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not
need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want
