I've been running Amarok 1.4.2 - 1.4.4 on Dapper, Edgy and Feisty and
have not been able to reproduce this problem. I have always used the
Xine engine. Does this happen on any particular files or does it happen
on any number of files? It seems like we are unable to reproduce it, and
therefore can
apparently, your bug is confirmed after all, the previous comment should
read no problem on xine for me.

Is anyone able to confirm it still crashes on 1.4.3 with different music
collection?
I now don't think it haves anything to do with Amarok, and is totaly a
Xine problem as I was also having the same problem in many other
applications using xine.
The most recent update in Dapper I recieved
I personally think it has alot to do with the arts sound system. Can
anyone that can reproduce this please install arts-dbg and run a
backtrace and attach it to this bug.

sorry brandon i was never able to reproduce this. amarok has always
played mp3's for me.

can you please confirm this on amarok 1.4.3 from edgy beta using
DIFFRENT music collection , it sounds like you have some bad encoded
files amarok is choking on

I am using the aRTs engine right now and that does not seem to have the
same problem, only the xine engine, but, I know if I switch it to the
Xine
Someone on the Kubuntu list suggested I delete all my setting files in
my home directory for amaroK. I did that and it seemed to work for a
littlebit. I played about 30 songs without any troubles, then it went
right bac to crashing every other song.
