This is still a bit present in gutsy. It displays the message in a blink of an
eye.
It doesnt appear when using gdm as default display manager, only when using
KDM. Therefore I think gdm should be configured not to display the message.
The message that is printed just before KDM starts:

But i believe thats not a bug its just that it shows the message while
booting and says that its not starting gdm since you have installed kdm
too which is default manager

In edgy it looked very weird.
