For anybody who's interested, I'm no longer seeing this bug in 12.04. (I
still was in 11.10, though). So it looks like something in 12.04 fixed
it...

As a matter of facts, I have got the same problem.
I tried some tricks found here and there to configure properly my device but I
only got the eraser to work properly.
I bought this PenPartner years ago fot my old iMac, and I found it last Weekend
under a pile of olds CDs ...
So I can't say it
I also have this issue. It's a bit annoying, as my pen worked on 9.10,
and suddenly, it's stopped. Unfortunately, my eraser doesn't work any
more, so I can't test if it's exactly the same issue as above; but it
seems to me that it probably is. Only sees eraser. Running up Gimp
recognises the pen
Incidentally: I did have it 'working' once since being on 10.04. It
didn't work properly - the pen would only register location when
pressing down. Anyway, next time I booted (after some messing about to
try and make it work properly) and it didn't work again.

Only eraser works on Wacom USB
