An even bigger problem that I noticed is that on dual monitor mode, the
windows which are on the right display, the buttons, menu etc. appear on
the left/main display. This happens when the applications are in
fullscreen mode/maximized.

And here's one more use case. I have 2 ASUS netbooks + a desktop rigged
thru a KVM. I'll strain my eyes when I'm on the road with a netbook, but
at home there's only set of devices I can sit in front of. So my ext
monitor usage is simply to get my entire screen there, or have same
image on one or
I use an Asus 1000 eeepc, with an Acer al1511 screen attached as a twin-head to
get extra width. The Asus, like many laptops and netbooks, uses Fn-F8 to
switch between several modes.
1. Just netbook screen - Unity works fine.
2. Just Acer (outboard) screen - fails to renegotiate window size

Yeah, I second this: a lot of people were using netbook-launcher in dual
monitor support as we got a bunch of bug report about it.
So it seems people uses their netbook with dual screen when at home.
