UPDATE:
The kernel panic apparently originates in nm-applet. I tried to disable
wireless.
There are two different ways of disabling wireless, hardware and software, on
the Thinkpad (Fn+F5) and using nm-applet. If I disable BOTH, suspend (and
resume) works! Since NetworkManager has not been

Still doesn't suspend, but does change away from X into vt1 (or something like
it), and panics there.

Hi,
I tested both the -8 and -9 upload of generic kernels, and they both hang
during suspend. So nothing has improved with the newest kernels.
