I just built the ubuntu kernel 2.6.35-22-powerpc64-smp from source only changing config.common.ports: CONFIG_SCSI_IPR=m and had no build failures. Not sure what was seen on 5-12, but I think the temporarily part was forgotten and CONFIG_SCSI_IPR needs to be turned back on. -- pSeries machines
